Interviewer instructions
'Seeking care outside the home' means going outside the family or household for advice or treatment. Seeking care could include anything from asking a neighbour for advice, to holding a religious ceremony on the child's behalf, to going to a hospital. If a physician or other provider visits the household to give care, this counts as seeking care outside the home. The child may or may not have accompanied the respondent when he/she sought care.
